Loop Back to the Beginning 14 September – 4 November 2001 The Kunsthalle ventures a leap into our own time – the 21st Century – with “Loop – Alles auf Anfang”, loosely translatable as “Loop – Back to the Beginning”. The curator Klaus Biesenbach, Berlin – New York (works of art / P.S.1 MOMA), has tracked down some exciting new works by young artists in the 20 to 40 age group, whose works will be exhibited alongside works by artists who can be considered as their intellectual forbears. The dialogue between the generations demonstrates the continuity of content among the avant-garde who, using artistic means, have taken up the never-ending challenge posed by the amazing technical advances of recent times.
