of the Munich Volkshochschule

The Munich Volkshochschule (MVHS, an organisation for adult education) offers public guided tours of 90 minutes. The group size is limited to a maximum of 20 participants.

Participation is possible with prior registration with the MVHS: by telephone Monday till Saturday 8:30 am-7 pm under T +49 (0)89 / 480 06 62 39 or online. Remaining tickets available on site.

Please note that the tours will be in German only.

Dates:

Monday 3:30 am, Thursday 6 pm, Friday at 11:30 am and Saturday 1 pm.

Price: € 8 + admission

Meeting point: 1st floor

Tickets for the exhibition can be purchased at the ticket counter at the Kunsthalle. If possible, bring your own headphones for the group tour devices (regular AUX connection).

The Kunsthalle makes every effort to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the exhibition. To prevent several groups starting their visits simultaneously, any group with ten or more persons must register in advance at kontakt@kunsthalle-muc.de or +49 (0)89 / 22 44 12. A specific time slot is allotted and microphone and headphones are provided for every tour and are available for collection at the appointed time.

Please note that groups without an appointment may be asked that its members visit the show individually. Guided tours for private groups are limited to a maximum of 20 participants and may be arranged for the following times: Mon and Wed–Fri 10 am–8 pm, Sat 10am–1pm. No guided tours may take place on Saturday afternoon, Sundays and Tuesdays in order to accommodate individual visitors.

The Kunsthalle can arrange for art historians and other experts to provide guided tours of the exhibition.

Afterwork tours

Every third Wednesday of the month

Accompanying the exhibition HAIR—Stories of Power and Passion we offer special AfterworkKH tours. The tours start at 6:30 pm, duration ca. 60 minutes, max. 20 persons per tour.

Tour tickets for € 7 in addition to the admission price are available online and at the ticket desk. Tours are offered in German only.

School classes

Visits for school groups are by appointment only, regardless of whether they include a guided tour; please register at least one week before your visit: T +49 (0)89 / 22 44 12.
Times are Mon, Wed to Sat 10 am to 8 pm. A maximum of 20 pupils per group is permitted.

In addition to regular hours, the exhibition is open every Wednesday from 9 to 10am especially for school groups. During this time a maximum of 25 pupils are permitted.

Admission is € 2 per pupil. One teacher per class is admitted free of charge, one further teacher pays half the standard admission fee.

School classes that are not registered pay the regular admission price.

The Kunsthalle can arrange for art historians and other experts to provide guided tours of the exhibition.
