Water Myth and Force of Nature 3 June – 21 August 2005 This first interdisciplinary exhibition at the Kunsthalle München was a contribution to the Cultural Summer, organized by a whole range of participating institutions on the occasion of the Bundesgartenschau (National Garden Show) 2005. An array of 70 masterpieces from the 16th century to the present day, illustrated a wide variety of cultural, historical and other relevant aspects of water. Partners of the exhibition were the Deutsches Museum, the Bavarian Water Management Department, the Geo Risks Research Department of the Munich Re and the Institute for Water Quality and Waste Management at the Technical University of Munich.
