The End of the Avantgarde Art as Service 25 August – 5 November 1995 With around 60 installations, sculptures, photographs, paintings and videos by European and American artists, the exhibition provided an insight into the art production of the 1980s and 1990s. All of the works came from the collection of Gabriele and Wilhelm Schürmann in Aachen. The following artists were represented: Sam Samore, Angela Bulloch, Peter Zimmermann, Hirsch Perlman, Raymond Pettibon, Jorge Pardo, Franz West, Georg Herold, Meuser, Regina Möller, Martin Kippenberger, Eadweard Muybridge, Renée Green, Julia Scher, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Christopher Williams, Thomas Locher, Lincoln Tobier, Stan Douglas, Cady Noland and Mark Dion.
