Serge Poliakoff A Retrospective – Hommage to Peter Ade 27 April – 8 July 2007 This exhibition of the work of Serge Poliakoff (1900–1969) was conceived in collaboration with the Kunsthalle in Emden, where it was first shown. With around 100 paintings and gouaches from German and French public and private collections, it provided an overview of all phases of his creative work. The exhibition was dedicated to Peter Ade, the first director of the Kunsthalle, who had passed away a year earlier and who had always wanted to realize a Poliakoff retrospective.
