René Magritte 27 September 1985 – 6 January 1986 The art of Belgian painter René Magritte (1898–1967) is inextricably linked with Surrealism. With 140 paintings and works on paper from European and American private and museum collections, this exhibition was the largest retrospective of the artist in Germany to date.
