René Magritte 27 September 1985 – 6 January 1986 The art of the Belgian painter René Magritte (1898–1967) is inextricably linked with Surrealism. Featuring 140 paintings and works on paper from European and American private and museum collections, this exhibition was the largest retrospective of the artist’s work in Germany to date.
