Picasso The Period after Guernica 1937 – 1973 13 March – 6 June 1993 In Pablo Picasso’s (1881–1973) oeuvre, his famous painting Guernica (1937) forms an important anchor point. The exhibition brought together 60 paintings, as well as 60 drawings and nine sculptures from renowned museums and private collections worldwide, representing the artist’s multifaceted oeuvre from the late 1930s onwards. The exhibition was first shown at the Nationalgalerie in Berlin (8.12.1992–21.2.1993) and after Munich still at the Hamburger Kunsthalle (18.6.–29.8.1993).
