Georg Baselitz Retrospective 1964–1991 20 March – 17 May 1992 Exhibition Georg Kern (born in 1938 in Deutschbaselitz, Saxony) is better known as Georg Baselitz and is one of the leading artists of his generation. The exhibition included 41 oil paintings, 3 wood sculptures, and 75 works on paper. After the presentation at the Kunsthalle, the exhibition was shown at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh, as well as at the Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig in Vienna.
