Fashion Statements for mothers and fathers with your baby (of up to 1 year). Jessica Krämer, art historian – and mother – will guide through the exhibition. The tour starts at 9:45 am. For the participants of the tour the Kunsthalle is open from 9:30 am. Changing station and space for baby carriages are available. During the tour, a sling or baby carrier is recommended. Duration: approx. 1 hour, meeting point at the ticket counter. Please note that the tours will be in German only. Tickets: € 7 plus admission, available at the Kunsthalle ticket counter and online. Fashion Statements, students of Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode / Designschule München present works in the fields of fashion and communication design. White Memories: An Upcycling Project by the Fachschule für Modellistik So-called “whites” – undergarments, tablecloths, bed linens, etc. – used to be part of every bourgeois household. From today’s perspective, the often discarded pieces contain not only material resources but also very special memories. Through deconstruction and reconstruction, nine models were created that now tell the story of their resurrection. Fashion Letters: Typographic Word Images from the Berufsfachschule für Kommunikationsdesign Viktor&Rolf often use type in their fashion creations. Short texts provide an additional layer of meaning to the outfits. These “Fashion Statements” were picked up by the students to typographically reinterprete them as word images.
