Paul Delvaux 20 January – 19 March 1989 Ausstellung The Belgian painter Paul Delvaux, although he resists this label, is considered a surrealist. Like his compatriots Magritte and Ensor, he ranks among the great artists of this century. Delvaux paintings are in the most important museums, private collections and public institutions in the world. However, a large part of his rich oeuvre is housed by the Fondation Paul Delvaux, which – along with other Belgian and Dutch lenders – provided a large part of the exhibits for this exhibition. The retrospective showed 66 works (oil paintings and works on paper) and documents all creative periods from the beginnings to the late work. More Less To the current exhibition of the Kunsthalle
