James Ensor Belgium around 1900 31 March – 21 May 1989 Exhibition After René Magritte and Paul Delvaux, James Ensor (1860-1949) was the third great Belgian painter of the 19th/20th century to be presented at the Kunsthalle. His oeuvre was documented with 72 works from all creative periods. 37 additional paintings by 18 other artists completed the diverse art scene in Belgium around 1900.
