Dear Visitors,

we are happy to welcome you back at the Kunsthalle. To make your exhibition experience both safe and pleasant, we kindly request that you observe the general hygiene and distancing rules. Please see below for important information on all aspects of your visit (this page will be updated on an ongoing basis).

  • Please book your time slot ticket at the ticket desk or online. Time slot tickets are available online for around one week in advance.
  • Discounted tickets are now available online. However, proof of eligibility must be presented at your ticket desk.
  • For discounts for People with disabilities (100%), HVB Mastercard Gold / HVB Visa Infinite Card please ask the ticket desk staff on site.
  • If you want to visit the exhibition with children, you will receive their tickets upon presentation of your time slot ticket at the ticket office. We reserve ticket contingents for children.
  • Whenever possible, please make contactless payments at the ticket desk.
  • We will be limiting the number of visitors to the exhibition. There may be a wait, even with a valid ticket.
  • Available in the online shop only, time slot tickets keep waiting times to a minimum.
  • In order to avoid waiting times at the entrance, we recommend that you visit us during the week.



  • By booking a time slot ticket via the online shop, your contact details will be recorded.
  • If remaining appointments are available at the ticket desk, your contact details must also be recorded on site.
  • Your contact details will only be used for the purpose of tracking possible corona infections.

  • Please stay at least 1.5 metres away from other visitors and Kunsthalle staff.
  • The Kunsthalle has set up a separate entrance and exit to minimise contact. Please use the main Theatinerstraße entrance (ticket desk area) only. You can only leave the building via the Kunsthalle shop on the ground floor, with access to the plaza of the Fünf Höfe.
  • Please follow the signs and/or proceed as instructed by staff.



  • You must wear a FFP2 mask over your mouth and nose at all times during your visit. Please remember to bring your own mask.
  • In order to protect our visitors and employees, we have to insist that you wear a FFP2 mask during your entire visit, even if you can present a medical certificate.
  • You will find hand sanitiser dispensers at the entrance and exit of the Kunsthalle.
  • All surfaces at the Kunsthalle are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis. Glass partitions have been installed at the ticket desk, cloakroom and in the shop.
  • Do not visit the Kunsthalle if you feel unwell or have been in contact with any person testing positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

  • Please make sure to avoid grouping with other visitors to the exhibition.



  • Group visits and registrations are not possible until further notice.


AUDIO tour (De/EN) with the artist

  • Accessible from home and in the exhibition with your own mobile device. Please also bring your own headphones. The audio tour is free of charge. The audio tour in English is available here.


Coat Check & LOCKERS

  • The lockers are closed until further notice. Please leave any belongings at the coat check.



  • Our restaurant Theatiner 8 is closed, the street sale on ground level is open.
