Fabergé Jeweller to the Court of the Zsars 5 December 1986 – 8 March 1987 Exhibition For the first time, the exhibition showed a selection of the numerous Fabergé jewels that were still in private German ownership and therefore not accessible to the public, as well as objects from the royal collections in the Netherlands, Denmark, Great Britain, Sweden and Thailand. A novel approach was also that works by Farbergé’s role models, contemporaries and competitors, as well as imitators and forgers, were integrated in this exhibition that featured over 650 objects.
