Art for alle senses

Paris the cultural metropolis of the 19th century – the city on the Seine was not only a leader and taste-creator in the arts. The creations of culinary grandmasters, such as Carême and Escoffier, has influenced how and what we eat both then and now. Their publications are the foundation of the art of western cooking.

On two occasions, the Kunsthalle and the Käfer Delicatessen will be taking the opportunity to combine the art experience with the full range of senses. Following your visit to the exhibition »Good. True. Beautiful«, you are invited to enjoy a three-course meal and drinks in the Café • Bar • Brasserie Kunsthalle by Käfer.

Accompanied by French music, we will serve hors d’oeuvres of duck rillettes with apple on crisp wood-fired bread, followed by Label Rouge smoked salmon with three varieties of beets. Our main course will be Coq au Vin from guinea fowl breast served with mushrooms and two types of sweet potatoes, and the finale will be a tarte Tatin with a Calvados emulsion. This tour of France in the Kunsthalle will be rounded off by wines from Languedoc by Gérard Bertrand.
